Programme Pathways

Nothing at WIT is a dead end. Every micro-credential is designed as a bounded part of a qualification, taught and assessed to the same standard, and carries credit towards it. A learner may begin with a single four-week course and climb, without repeating work, to a full degree.

Two rules protect the value of every award

Two rules protect the value of every award. Recognition of prior learning and credit transfer from all sources combined may not exceed half of any qualification. Every learner who completes a WIT offering receives a written pathway statement showing exactly what it counts towards and what comes next.

Qualification types and study routes

Namibia's National Qualifications Framework has ten levels. One credit represents ten notional hours of learning. WIT qualifications are designed so that every level feeds cleanly into the next, and no learner ever repeats work or loses credit.

Accreditation status. WIT short courses and micro-credentials are professional development offerings and are honestly labelled as such. They are not yet credit-bearing qualifications registered on the National Qualifications Framework. Qualification accreditation is being pursued with the National Council for Higher Education and the Namibia Qualifications Authority. Planned intake years shown on this page are targets, and each remains subject to accreditation outcomes.
